1 Corinthians 6:19- 20 [Mar. 26th, 2009|07:50 pm]

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Achluophobia- Fear of darkness.
Acousticophobia- Fear of noise.
Acrophobia- Fear of heights.
Aeroacrophobia- Fear of open high places.
Agoraphobia- Fear of open spaces or of being in crowded, public places.
Somniphobia-

Causes-

There are many reasons why people may suffer from somniphobia, as with any fear: they may have had repeated bad experiences with nightmares- night terrors as a child.



Dying or death- Thanatophobia

Fear Of Death Causes:

Of course, we have ample fuel to begin the fire of phobia in our natural survival instinct.  Add to this the death of a pet, a loved one, or a horrific event in the media and all the seeds are sown.  Some percentage of people will develop a morbid fear of all things related to death.  Often, people suffer from the fear of death because they are not ready for what comes after.  The fear of that unknown eternity causes them extreme anxiety, freezing them every time the subject comes up. 


Scott Proskin  
"Scotty"

Scott "Scotty" Proskin , 24, of Zion, died on Friday, March 6, 2009.

He was born October 30, 1984, in Pueblo, CO, and lived in Zion for most of his life. He attended Christ Church of Lake Forest. Scott was engaged to Nicole Valdecanas. He had a deep love of music through his writing, singing, and playing the guitar. (Scott was a published poet.) Scott will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include his mother, Rosalynne (Keith Skaathun) Giacomel of Hawthorn Woods, IL; his father, Gary S. Proskin of PA; brothers, Richard (Rachel) Lann of Wonder Lake, IL, Ryan (Amy) Lann of Ft. Worth; one step-sister, Bobbie Proskin Shaffer of PA; step-brothers, Gary (Jen) Proskin Jr. of PA and Tory Skaathun of Hawthorn Woods, IL; maternal grandmother, Genna Miller of Pleasant Prairie, WI; paternal grandmother, Ruth Waskowitz of FL; paternal grandfather, Raymond Giacomel of PA; one aunt, Pam (Bob) Kelly of Winthrop Harbor, IL; one uncle, Ray (Debi) Giacomel of SC; many cousins, including Alisha (Tracy) Grinus of Kenosha, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a step-sister, Shelly McGowan; maternal grandfather, Buck Miller; and twin brother, Steve "Steve" Proskin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church Lake Forest, 100 North Waukegan Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045. Please sign the online guest book at www.congdonfuneralhome com.
